Building the Scorecard
This is the delivery shell for the Leadership Soul Scorecard — the Move-2 screen that sits just behind the nomination front door, built for the Unpaid persona. The questions themselves and the Jer-voice reveals already exist in the Scorecard spec; this page is about building the screen they live in, not the content.
Verdict
BUILD custom — not ScoreApp. The red-team review asked for a sober, text-first screen with no badges, no scores, no leaderboard. That gamified aesthetic is "the McDonald's of formation," and Jer is the 529 Steakhouse — the two don't mix. A custom build gives full voice control, kills the ~$39/mo ScoreApp fee, and avoids the generic quiz look. This is a screen behind the nomination door, not the growth engine, so it can stay quiet and plain.
What it does
- A 15-question self-assessment against the four values, diagnosing the head-vs-soul gap.
- A sober results page that renders the Jer-voice reveals (content from the Scorecard spec).
- Short 30–45s reveal clips (audio or video) embedded inline.
- Ends in the two doors: book a conversation or join a cohort.
- Captures email into the pipeline tracker.
- No badges. No scores. No leaderboard.
How we'd build it
A static quiz — 15 questions plus their branching reveals — built as part of the public site. One small serverless function handles scoring and email capture. The reveal clips live on the video/audio host (the same one used elsewhere), and results flow into the pipeline tracker. The hard part (the questions and the reveals) is already written; this is just the delivery shell around it.
The flow is short:
start → answer 15 → reveal → results / two doors → capture email
Effort & cost
A couple of days of AI-assisted build, and no monthly fee (versus ScoreApp at ~$39/mo). Honest fallback: if Jer would rather not maintain a custom build at all, ScoreApp can stand this up the same day. The custom build wins on voice and cost; the buy option wins on zero maintenance. Either is fine — name the trade-off and let Jer choose.
When
Phase 0 — right behind the nomination front door. Cheap and low-Jer-hour, so it isn't income-gated.
Connects to
The content comes from the Scorecard spec — the questions and the reveals. The screen lives inside The Public Site & Funnel, right after the nomination form. It's also the build that answers the Strategy Brief's "make the website hunt." For the whole stack and where this sits in it, see The Platform.
